We spend a lot of time removing scrub from our mosslands, but once in a while we do get to plant a small number of trees!
Earlier this Spring we received 250 whips of wildlife friendly species such as Hawthorn from the #IDigTrees scheme thanks to The Conservation Volunteers and OVOEnergy.

Our volunteers planted these out at select locations around the border of Little Woolden, to add diversity to our shelter belt, additional food sources for wildlife, and hopefully the spikier species will also prevent some repass once they’ve grown a bit!
The recent sunshine has seen fresh leaves start to appear on the saplings, it looks like they like their new home.
