SalfordCVS supporting our volunteers

Last year we were very grateful to receive a ‘Volunteer Expenses’ grant from Salford CVS.

This grant enabled us to stock up on work gloves, wellies, waterproofs, and uniform, helping to provide a safe volunteering environment for more people. Hard working volunteers wear through gloves quickly, so we needed a nice big batch, and being able to keep some wellies on site has helped more people get a taste of the bog without having to buy store their own, or getting wet feet! It’s also handy for those who walk or cycle to site to not have to carry heavy boots.

We were also able to trial having a portaloo on site, which was much appreciated by many volunteers and visitors! Thankfully this went without any problems so we now have one on site again for a while, if you have made use of it, or want to support us buying more plants from Princes Park Garden Centre, you can donate here: Donations
